TEMPEH BAC'N

Nicholas Vaughan

Ingredients

  • 1 package tempeh, sliced thinly
  • 1 tbsp agave
  • 1 dash of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 dash liquid smoke (or more for smokier flavor)
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • cooking oil

Directions

Preheat oven to 350º

Mix liquid ingredients together in a bowl to create marinade. Marinate tempeh slices for about 5 minutes.

Place marinated tempeh on a baking sheet and drizzle oil generously over them. Alternatively, cover the baking sheet with parchment and skip the oil.

Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes, and then start taking out the pieces as they turn brown.  The thinnest pieces will finish cooking fastest.  Enjoy!
